Locksmith is a smart artist. The build-up to his “The Green Box” album has been well executed. First he brought us “Livin Loaded”, a light ode to his hometown, then he went a bit deeper in “Transitions“ spitting memorable bars over Khrysis & Eric G production. Then he brought us the visually stunning and vivid tale of “Be Free“, produced by Ka$h of Soul Council. Then he went even deeper on the brilliant, Mike TopNoch produced, “Fuck Love“, which got a MTVJams premiere and garnered much praise. Well he has stepped up another notch, with “Bear With Me”, which is produced by Mike TopNoch. With this track he goes even deeper than previous offerings, one thing is for sure, Lock is creative as ever on these tracks, and we are in for a treat on May 7th, when he releases, “The Green Box”.
