TDE’s CEO Responds to Suge Knight – Offers Him TDE For $1

During a recent interview on The Arsenio Hall Show, Suge Knight, the co-founder of Death Row Records, was critical of Kendrick Lamar’s record deal.

Now the CEO of Top Dawg Entertainment – and the man who knows all about K.Dot’s contractual situations – has spoken out.

Knight described Kendrick Lamar and Game’s label deals as “slavery,” claiming artists are getting less and less money for their music and touring;

“Not only do these companies get the royalties and the publishing, if they do a show and $100,000 come in, the managers of the guys I’m saying who run the record company gets 20 percent. Now it’s $80,000. Kendrick gets half, the record company gets half, which is ridiculous.” If you can’t live off your tour money how can you survive by being a slave? It’s not fair for the two niggas in Compton to be getting fucked. And it’s not good for me to have knowledge and don’t pass it on to them.”

These comments have now promoted Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith to respond, questioning Knight’s knowledge of their situation with Interscope, via Twitter.

We’re sure Suge will be responding – stay tuned!
