That’s right people, just days after we confirmed the title, cover and tracklist of Kendrick’s new album “To Pimp A Butterfly” – it’s now been made available via iTunes.
Despite being 8 days earlier – as it was due on March 24 – the album can now be purchased via iTunes – initially we thought intentionally (especially given it’s 20 years since the release of “Me Against The World” by Tupac) but a tweet by TDE Founder Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith seems to contradict that;
“I WOULD LIKE 2 PERSONALLY THANK @Interscope FOR FUCKING UP OUR RELEASE… SOMEBODY GOTS 2 PAY 4 THIS MISTAKE !!!!” he wrote. “This is the kraziest shit ever.”
With the release now out we can confirm more details about the features and production on the tracklist below, which showcases appearances from George Clinton, Thundercat, Bilal, Anna Wise, Snoop Dogg, James Fauntelroy, Ronald Isley and Rapsody – and production from Flying Lotus & Flippa, Terrace Martin, Sounwave, Rahki & Tommy Black, Larrance Dopson of 1500 Or Nothin, Taz Arnold, Pharrell Williams, Tae Beast, Lovedragon, Boi-1da and Koz.
Dre is noticeably absent on this release but when you hear the sound and vibe you’ll get why – his hands are sure to be all over the mixing though!
See the covers below and head to iTunes to purchase NOW!
