With 2020 almost at an end West Haven Blast has followed up the release of his recent four brand-new visuals, with an 8 track project titled “The G Funk Era.” The videos – “F**k The City Up,” “Compton City G,” “Too Gangsta For Radio” and “Chess Not Checkers” – took us from the studio to the streets, and everywhere in-between – and the new mixtape sees Haven produce a full set of remixes of some westcoast classics.

The follow up to “The City Is Mine” from earlier this year boasts 8 self-produced tracks that kicks off with his take on the Eazy-E classic “Real Muthaphuckkin G’s.” As the mixtape runs he drops “Too Gangsta For Radio” over DJ Quik’s own ‘Dollaz & Sense’ baseline, before flipping his bars that covers BLM and police brutality over the smooth Twinz ‘Round & Round’ on “G Funk.” Haven flows over Coolio’s ‘Gangstas Paradise’ on “Scarface Revisited” to tell you he’s…

“Straight outta the muthafuckin C-O-M-P-T-O-N, if I lose my temper I bet he wont fuck with me agian…I’m not industry, I’m from the streets”

The G-Funk keeps rolling as Haven drops “Call Me Crazy” over an Ice Cube’s ‘You Know How We Do It’ inspired instrumental, before sliding into “Unfadeable” which sees him spit over a nod to Dr. Dre’s ‘Deeez Nuuuts’ from 1992. Ending the 8 track project is “So Much Pain” – which you can probably guess by now is over the Tupac & Scarface classic ‘Pain’ which dropped in 1994 on the Above the Rim Soundtrack. Haven mixes up his bars with some from Tupac, before ending on…

We all play the game, we all living to die, I remember there was times I would think of suicide, then the lord told me everythang was gonna be alright”
